Lang & Tchernyshev

Filled with passion and emotion, this ice dancing pair practically melts the ice whenever they skate. Willingly sharing every emotion with us, I look forward to their upcoming season and all they have to offer us.

Having both previously skated with different partners, they formed their partnership after Peter wrote to Naomi expressing his interest. The two made their competitive debut during the 1996/1997 season,

Naomi began ballet at the age of 3 and performed for the first time in "The Nutcracker" at 6. After seeing an Ice Capades show, when she was 8, decided skating was what she wanted to do.

Peter was first introduced to skating at the age of 6 by his grandfather, a four-time Russian figure skating singles champion from 1936 to 1939. Originally a singles competitor, Peter's artistic strengths later led him to try his hand at ice dancing. He extensively trained in dance with the Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Living in America since 1992, he earned his U.S. citizenship on January 29th, 2001, which will allow him the opportunity to compete with Naomi at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
